Cold Rolled Steel (CRC)
One of the most widely used steel products is steel sheets, which is used in different industries according to the type of construction and different thicknesses they have. Steel sheets are separated based on the type of construction, different alloys, and type of packaging. CRCs are one of the most important and widely used steel sheets.
Making CRCs
CRC is produced from high-pressure rolling of high-temperature steel sheets e to 200 degrees Celsius, due to the low temperature compared to the temperature used for other steel sheets, these sheets are known as cold sheets. This production process has led to the fact that the CRC has better mechanical properties and more strength than the sheets that are produced by hot rolling processes, and in terms of appearance, this type of sheet has a smooth, polished surface and It is more uniform, the final shape of the produced product is in the form of a coil.
Grades of CRCs
According to the uses and required properties, CRCs are available with different alloys that are heat treated on the product in different grades in the market.
CRC ST12 (normal)
This product is one of the most used products of CRCs in the market. The strength of this sheet is higher than other hot sheets. Chrome is one of the elements present in this product and removes some of the defects of steel. At the same time, the ST12 sheet has good strength and has the ability to bend 45 degrees.
CRC ST13 (semi-stretch)
ST13 grade CRC has less strength than ST12 and on the other hand, it has good flexibility. It is also known as semi-stretch CRC in the market. Due to the properties of this sheet, it is also used for industrial prices where pressing with a shallow depth.
CRC ST14 (super tensile)
ST14 sheet or super-stretch CRC is widely used in the industry due to its softness, high flexibility, and good plasticity compared to other CRCs. Due to the properties of this product, it is used in industries that require shaping (making car parts, door and window profiles, etc.) and deep pressing.
The appearance of the CRC
In addition to its smooth appearance and shiny surface, CRCs have high strength. On the other hand, the high resistance of this product to high pressure and weight and the resistance of this product to corrosion of this substrate provide for the use of this product in the industry. On the other hand, the glossy surface makes this product suitable for plating and painting.
The dimensions of the CRCs available in the market are generally 0.3 to 3 mm thick and 1 to 1.5 m wide. Oil foil packaging in the form of coils, which are produced with different tonnage according to the factories that produce in Iran.
