ST37-A283 HOT ROLLED sheet (steel sheet)

It is used widely in various fields such as construction. A283 sheet has less carbon than other black sheets. The main applications of this sheet are the construction of tanks, tankers petrochemical, oil and gas industries, etc. Generally, these two grades of sheets can be substituted for each other due to the closeness of the alloy. On the other hand, A283 sheets with grade C are generally available in the Iranian market.

Difference between sheet A283 and ST37

In general, the ST37 sheet is considered among the simple grade (non-alloy) steels, while the A283 sheet is among the alloy steels. The amount of carbon in ST37 is less than that of A283. A lower carbon percentage improves weldability and flexibility, on the other hand, the hardness of the product and the overall resistance to impact are lower.

Applications of ST37 sheet:

shipbuilding, tank building, machine building, component building, bridge building, road building, pipe, and industrial profile production.

Application of A283 sheet: making doors and windows, making all kinds of tankers, making all kinds of tanks, automobile manufacturing, making profiles, column plates, construction industry, making corners and studs, punching sheets and mesh plates, making industrial devices.

Sheet St52

ST52 sheet is one of the low-carbon steel sheets. In general, the carbon percentage of this category of sheets is around 0.21%, which is generally used for parts that require higher resistance. Among other elements that are available in this grade compared to other types. Also more manganese and cesium.

Compared to st37 (A283) steel sheets, it has a higher percentage of carbon, and as a result, it has less flexibility and more hardness. Elements such as manganese and silicon in the ST52 sheet have made this sheet have higher strength and elasticity, surface hardness, and at the same time high tensile strength and acceptable weldability.

Applications of ST52 sheet:

Construction of metal structures (due to their good weldability), construction of pressure tanks, civil and engineering constructions, underground structures, bridge structures, marine structures and shipbuilding, container construction, automobile and machine construction, construction of cranes, pellet components Forms, lifting equipment, some turbines

Sheet A516

Alloy carbon steel plate A516

A516 is in the category of alloy steel plates whose main use is in the construction of tanks that require high hardness.
This group of alloy steel sheets contains elements that give properties to the sheet.
For example, the presence of the Chromium element increases the resistance of the A516 alloy sheet against brittleness, and the presence of Molybdenum and Nickel elements improves the mechanical properties of alloy steel such as stress, tension, etc.

A516 alloy steel can tolerate high temperatures. Alloy sheets were available in the market in four grades 50, 60, 65, and 70.
Application of A516 sheet: pressure vessels, heat exchangers, distillation towers, boilers, etc., which need to withstand high temperatures, are used.
A36 hot rolled sheet (marine sheet)
A36 steel sheet is a family of marine sheets and due to the alloys (copper, silicon, sulfur, phosphorus, manganese, carbon) present in this steel, make it a special resistance sheet It can show itself against salts and salt water of the seas. In the production of this steel, operations are carried out during the production process that can achieve the necessary resistance. Among these operations, we can mention deoxidation operations and special operations to control the size and shape of the product, as well as the distribution and synthesis of oxide and manganese in steel.
Sheet application: A36 is used in marine industries, flotation, wharf construction, manufacturing of various metal parts, the repair of ships and metal floats, industrial and commercial structures related to the sea and similar cases, and in various formats including; Plates, bars and sheets are also produced.
